Left-wing Philadelphia DA facing challenge from former Democrat

President Donald Trump’s federalization of D.C. is making big headlines, and they are not quite the ones we expected.

Yes, there are some Democrats pitching a fit, but the mayor of D.C., quite frankly, seems relieved that Trump is taking this off her plate.

We are also seeing some pushback against liberal policies in blue cities like Philadelphia, where an activist district attorney is being challenged by a former Democrat now running as a Republican.

Taking over DC

When Trump took over D.C., I figured it would be a PR nightmare, but it now appears that Democrats could be the ones taking the hit on this.

Now, don’t get me wrong, Mayor Muriel Bowser said the obligatory things about Trump and his takeover of the city, but if you read between the lines, there does seem to be a sense of relief from her.

For instance, she did not fight Trump in the courts, as most expected, and she also stated that she will be working with the administration to lower crime.

Not only that, but the police chief is on board as well, stating, “We are here to work together with our federal partners.” D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela Smith added that she plans to use these added resources to address some of the troublesome crime pockets around the city.

The Soros effect

If you have read my report on other sites, you know how I feel about George Soros.

The man has been taking this country over by loading up city councils and local D.A. offices with uber-liberal activists.

This is far more effective than money spent on congressional or presidential campaigns, as it infects our country from deep inside, then works its way out.

Soros did that in Philadelphia, helping the city's district attorney, Larry Krasner, win his initial campaign. The billionaire has done this in several major cities, including St. Louis and Los Angeles, just to name a few.

Time for change

Judge Patrick Dugan is not only a former judge, but also a former Democrat, having run against Krasner in the primary, where he lost, subsequently flipping parties to challenge Krasner again as a Republican.

Krasner is already trying to make Dugan out to be a Trump loyalist, but that is not the case at all. Dugan is sick of D.A.s like Krasner who work for criminals instead of law-abiding citizens.

He stated, "I know that Philadelphians are smart enough to believe their eyes, and what they see is more crime, more drugs, more victims abandoned, more shootings, and more criminals let loose on the streets.” He later added, "I cannot stand by and allow Mr. Krasner’s failed policies to continue to hold our city hostage. Every Philadelphian has a real choice this fall, and I believe they will stand with me for common sense and safety."

I grew up in Philadelphia and left that area more than a decade ago to move south because of people like Krasner. Quite frankly, I cannot believe he won that primary race again with how he helped ruin what was once a great city. I really hope Dugan can beat him, but sadly, my gut tells me the zombie voters of that city will win out, and we will all have to sit and watch as another great city goes further into the rabbit hole.
