Big win. While most of the Democratic Party is outraged over a recent move by President Donald Trump, the Democrat most impacted has just conceded to Trump. This is just a slap in the face to the liberal party's establishment. Read more…
This video shows you everything that is wrong with social media and the incessant need of this generation to create viral content with zero common sense factored in. What this young man did is inexcusable, and quite frankly, he is lucky nobody was hurt, or worse, most notably himself. What would you do if someone did this while you were at the store?
Yesterday, we welcomed comments from liberals, and they have answered the bell. I specifically chose today’s thought regarding socialist programs, hoping we could start a debate about excessive government spending. To that point, Sarah J. from New York, NY, answered the bell, responding:
“I'm not a socialist, and I have my own questions about some of Mamdani's plans, but the Burke quote cuts both ways. Our 'contract' with the future isn't just about leaving them less debt; it's about leaving them with functioning infrastructure, affordable healthcare, and a habitable planet. You can't just cut your way to a better future.
“A serious conversation about the debt has to include the revenue side of the equation and a hard look at where the real spending is going -- like our massive defense budget -- not just scapegoating programs that help working people."
Her comments go to a very serious misperception about how GOP fiscal sharks want to cut spending. It is not about “scapegoating programs that help working people,” but rather about eliminating waste and fraud to reduce the overall spending of these programs. But this is a great start, as we are now sitting at the table having the conversation. Thanks for the comment, Sarah, and I hope we can continue this dialogue!
