Crockett says GOP trying to get rid of black elected officials

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is making the most of her 15 minutes, grabbing every TV spot she can.

She has two things that she is focused on right now.

The first is blocking Trump, and the second is trying to get the nation to buy into the idea that Trump and Republicans want to remove every black elected official from the country.

Trump’s coalition

The idea that Trump does not represent black Americans is utterly ridiculous.

If you go back to the first Trump administration, he did more to boost black communities around the nation than Clinton and Obama combined.

Trump’s work with the historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) was significant, but it was also ignored by most media outlets. Not to mention the work he did with Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) regarding opportunity zones.

If you look at how Trump visited these communities, sat down and talked to them, listened to their concerns, you can start to understand why coalitions like “Black Americans for Trump” were formed during the 2024 race.

More minority Republicans

Something I have written about repeatedly is that if the party is going to succeed in the future, we need to recruit more minority conservatives into the Republican Party.

There are two reasons for this. First and foremost, we need to better represent these communities, and you have seen Trump embrace this in his endorsements of minority conservatives like Reps. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Burgess Owens (R-UT), Wesley Hunt (R-TX), and John Names (R-MI).

Second, we need the country to see how Democrats treat minority conservatives when they do come forward, which is a major contributing factor as to why I believe we don’t have more minorities in office with an “R” next to their name.

The moment they come out as Republicans, they are shamed, called Uncle Toms, and portrayed as being used by the GOP as a “token” minority to help the case, which is surely not the case. The Democrat Party is not about acceptance and representation… it is about power, period.

Remove them all

This brings us to the latest outrageous comments from Crockett, who is using Trump’s federalization of DC as yet another racist hit against Trump and the GOP. She is also pointing to the redistricting effort in Texas.

Crockett stated, “When it comes to our base, they want to see a fight. They don’t want to see us just lay down and say, OK, well, the Republicans want to do whatever they want to do. They want to minimize voices. They want to systemically get rid of those black electeds.”

After an unchecked rant with CNN’s Jake Tapper, she concluded, “So don’t tell me this isn’t about race when they are clear about who it is that will lose the most when it comes to having their say so on the federal level, they are absolutely, systemically making sure that they roll back all that was fought for, bled for, and died for as it relates to those that came before us.”

Why is nobody talking about how the maps in Illinois and California are gerrymandered to silence conservative votes? Why is nobody bringing up all that Trump has done for minority communities, including putting people back to work?

Her argument is ridiculous, yet the media continues to allow her to rant unchecked. My opinion… Crockett is trying to create a racial divide because that is what feeds the Democrat narrative that the GOP is the big, bad wolf. It is what you do when you have failed policies that simply do not work for the betterment of the American people, our cities, and our country overall.
