Kimmel secures Italian citizenship as celebrities threaten to leave United States

The hubris of celebrities and their perceived self-worth to the country has never been more insufferable than it is today.

If we go back to the 2016 election and Trump’s first term, dozens of celebrities thought the threat of them leaving the country would stop Trump from being elected.

Fast forward to today, several have actually left, and more are threatening to go, including late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel, who secured Italian citizenship.

Rosie is gone

During Trump’s first term, there may not have been a bigger antagonist than Rosie O’Donnell.

She and Trump battled on an almost daily basis, and yes, she did finally leave the United States for Ireland, blaming it all on the bad orange man.

In explaining why she left, she stated, "Although I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that's what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child. It's been heartbreaking to see what's happening politically and hard for me personally, as well. The personal is political, as we all know.”

From what I could tell, most people never even realized she was gone, so O’Donnell tried to grab headlines by whining about her mental issues and how tough things have been, all due to the influence of Donald Trump in her life after winning the election.

More celebrities leave

While few celebrities followed through on their threats after the 2016 election, we have seen more celebrities leave the United States in recent years, and a rush after Trump’s 2024 win.

For instance, Ellen DeGeneres recently left, but Trump was not the only reason, and the same can be said for actor Richard Gere, who claimed this was more about family than anything else.

Eva Longoria, however, has cried from the highest hills about Trump, now reportedly splitting her time between Mexico and Spain.

Another “star” that tried to grab some headlines was Courtney Love, who relocated to the UK, telling fans that the United States was “frightening” with Trump back in the White House.

I’m Italian now

The cancellation of Stephen Colbert's late-night TV show has shaken the genre, and it would appear that Kimmel is preparing for what he believes will be inevitable: his show being canceled.

Kimmel has embraced the “woke” ideology, making himself out to be a leftist warrior, but everyone seems to forget he made his bones in the industry by exploiting women on “The Man Show.” He dressed in black face, made racist jokes, etc., but that is all forgiven now that he has embraced the liberal ways and has turned his show into nothing more than a left-wing attack against Trump.

Kimmel recently revealed that Italy is now on the table, stating that he has Italian citizenship now, adding, "I do have that. And what’s going on is—as bad as you thought it was going to be — it’s so much worse. It’s just unbelievable. I feel like it’s even worse than he would like it to be.”

I am just curious… what is so bad in Kimmel’s life as a result of Trump? Why is enforcing our border laws now deemed to be the act of a devil? Why is holding criminals accountable a bad thing? I say good riddance… and if you need a ride to the airport, Jimmy, I've got you!
