Over the last few weeks, one of the more polarizing stories of the news cycle has been the Trump administration's revelation that there was no client list in the Epstein files.
This resulted in MAGA outrage and the Dems pivoting to demanding that all records be released, something in which they previously showed little interest.
Dems clearly think Trump is impacted by those files, seeing a chance to take him down, but it would appear that Epstein’s primary confidante, Ghislaine Maxwell, just blew that narrative out of the water.
After the announcement about the non-existent client list was made by Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, both MAGA and Dems reacted.
MAGA started to claim that Bondi was part of the swamp, while Democrats saw an opportunity to go after Trump, even if someone like Bill Clinton wound up as collateral damage.
Senate Minority Leader Schumer (D-NY) then made a move of his own, making use of an obscure Senate rule to possibly force the files to be released.
Schumer stated, “Americans have every right to wonder, why he is breaking this promise? What is Trump hiding? Trump campaigned on and promised Americans that he’d release the Epstein files. We’re demanding he keep that promise.”
Maxwell has already apparently told the Department of Justice that Trump has nothing to worry about regarding past Epstein-related conduct.
If that is the case, it is a major blow to Democrats who are hoping there is something in the files that will expose Trump.
Maxwell was already questioned by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, answering questions “about 100 different people,” but reportedly saying that Trump never acted in a way that would give any cause for concern.
Her attorney stated, “The deputy attorney general is seeking the truth. He asked every possible question, and he was doing an amazing job.”
I have really been thinking about this quite a lot lately, as I was baffled as to why Trump suddenly changed his tactics on these files, and then it dawned on me.
What if Trump set this all up to play out just as it has? What if he wanted Democrats to be the ones to demand the release of the files, knowing there was nothing in there that would hurt him, but that the information would destroy big players within the Democratic Party?
Trump would take a small hit for covering for dirty politicians, but it would be nothing like what could happen to on the left if the files contain damaging information about powerful Democrats, such as Bill Clinton and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
I say all this after seeing the photos from Epstein’s home, where a $1 bill was signed by Gates, and inscribed with the words, “I was wrong!” When you consider Epstein’s notorious past, there is only one thing that comes to mind that Gates could have been wrong about. So, you can now see how I think Trump may have just set a monster trap that Democrats walked right into.
