President Trump charged that Barack Obama paid Iran billions and opened a path to a nuclear weapon after the former president campaigned for Democrats in the Midwest.
Trump unloaded on Obama’s foreign-policy record Saturday evening, tying the critique to Obama’s recent stump work in Ohio and Michigan and to a Michigan race Trump wants Republicans to win.
Just the News reported that Obama had been on the trail for Democrats in those two states, where he criticized Trump over conflict with Iran and cast his own Iran deal as a success. Trump answered by attacking that record and by urging Michigan voters to back Mike Rogers.
Trump framed Obama’s presidency as a failure on Tehran and a losing streak at the ballot box. He wrote that Obama “paid off Iran with $Billions” and “gave them a road to a Nuclear Weapon,” then listed campaigns that ended in defeat.
"Obama was a grossly incompetent President! He paid off Iran with $Billions, and gave them a road to a Nuclear Weapon. He said that Crooked Hillary Clinton was going to WIN, he campaigned hard for her, and she lost in all directions and ways. He then campaigned full out for Kamala, and likewise, she lost,"
That sequence, Iran policy first, then Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris, was Trump’s way of arguing that Obama’s judgment failed abroad and at home. The article did not quote Obama’s trail remarks in full, but it did state that Obama called his Iran deal a success and faulted Trump for launching war with Iran.
Trump then turned to the candidate Obama is now backing in Michigan. He did not name the person. He labeled that candidate a “Muslim Brotherhood Jihadist,” a “Fake Doctor,” and the operator of what he called the worst clinic in America, and he said the candidate “hates Jews and Blacks and AMERICANS and TRUMP.”
"Now he’s campaigning for a Muslim Brotherhood Jihadist, who hates Jews and Blacks and AMERICANS and TRUMP, and he is going to lose, also. He’s a Fake Doctor, who runs what is considered to be the WORST CLINIC IN AMERICA,"
Those are Trump’s characterizations. The Just the News account did not independently identify the candidate, the clinic, or any Muslim Brotherhood tie. It presented the lines as Trump’s own words.
Trump shifted from attack to a state-level sales pitch. He claimed a big 2024 win in Michigan, a revived car industry, a restored Air Force base, and “more jobs than ever before.” He told voters the state does not want an “arrogant, Open Borders, Fake Doctor, Jihadist,” and he closed with a direct endorsement.
"I won Michigan, BIG, have brought back the Car Industry, the Air Force Base, and everything else. Also, more jobs than ever before. Michigan doesn’t want an arrogant, Open Borders, Fake Doctor, Jihadist, whose reputation will only get worse as more information is revealed, And there’s plenty. VOTE FOR MIKE ROGERS! He will never let you down!"
Rogers received the only affirmative endorsement in the posts. Trump offered no further detail on the Air Force base, the job figures, or the “more information” he said would surface about the rival he attacked.
The exchange sits inside a familiar fight over Iran. Obama’s camp presents the old nuclear deal as restraint that worked. Trump presents it as a payout that left Tehran closer to a bomb. Obama is back on the trail in industrial Midwest states. Trump is answering on policy, on past losses, and on a Michigan ballot line he wants Rogers to take.
Voters can weigh the Iran record, the campaign history, and the Michigan choice without soft-pedaling what the last deal cost in leverage, or who keeps defending it.
