All Elite Wrestling announced Sunday that Benjamin Satterley, the pro wrestling star known as Pac, has died at 40 after competing at All Out in Chicago.
OutKick reported that AEW posted the news on social media Sunday night, one day after its All Out event in Chicago. The company gave no cause of death, and the circumstances remain unclear.
Satterley, a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, was 40. He had just challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at All Out on Saturday.
AEW said it was saddened by the loss and praised the high-flying style that made him a standout.
"All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac," the company said. "A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans."
Satterley started wrestling in 2004. He built a reputation across promotions with speed, aerial offense, and tough matches that fans remembered.
Before AEW, he worked in WWE as Adrian Neville. There he won the cruiserweight title twice, the NXT championship, and the NXT tag team titles twice.
He signed with AEW in 2019. In that company he became a two-time trios champion and the inaugural all-Atlantic champion, while collecting multiple AEW titles overall.
That résumé stretched across two decades of live shows, travel, and the physical grind that defines the business. He was still competing at a high level the night before the announcement.
