Today’s thought was inspired by a GK Chesterton quote about the fallacies of the programs Democrats pitch to the American people, then pressure them to try to accept. I suggested we look at all the major cities run by Democrats as proof of their failure. Today’s comment is from Mitchell D. from Virginia, who responded:
“We are watching our once-great cities devolve into absolute war zones just so a bunch of wealthy liberals can feel virtuous at their dinner parties. They dress up radical, destructive policies like zero-bail and defunding law enforcement as ‘cultural progress,’ but it is a calculated assault on civil society. We cannot afford to quietly nod along just to avoid offending these lunatics.
“We must aggressively dismantle these progressive experiments and forcefully evict the radical district attorneys who are pushing them. It is time to crush this dangerous cultural fashion, reestablish unapologetic law and order on our streets, and decisively reclaim our communities from the politicians who are burning them down.”
