Tlaib and Crockett prove Dems no longer value law-abiding citizens

In what world is shooting a police officer okay? In what world is the stabbing of a teenager to death okay?

The answer should be common sense, but over the last two weeks, we have heard Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) express outrage over the sentences imposed on the convicted rather than the crime they committed.

When a judge handed down total sentences of 450 years for members of an ANTIFA cell, a group that has been classified as a domestic terrorist organization by the sitting president, Tlaib called it a “travesty and totally unjustified,” according to a Fox News report. Mind you, she is defending people who shot at a Texas law enforcement officer.

These were not peaceful protesters, but individuals who showed up in riot gear, carrying firearms, prepared with military-grade first-aid kits. They led an assault against an ICE facility with fireworks. This was urban warfare; they were clearly ready to take casualties.

An officer was shot in the neck during this assault, and Tlaib, someone who is sworn to uphold our Constitution and to defend this nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic, called it a “travesty.” Just let that digest for a few minutes before you move forward with the rest of this report.

She’s Not Alone

It would not lessen the severity of Tlaib’s words if she were alone in this movement, but at least it would provide some solace that only one radical was in Congress. However, we all know that not to be true.

The members of the Squad have all proven, at some point, that they prefer America’s enemies and criminals over allies and law-abiding Americans. This, however, has now started to saturate the rest of the caucus, with Crockett being the latest example.

Crockett loves to interject race into everything, and she did it again after the Karmelo Anthony verdict. Anthony stabbed a fellow Texas teenager to death, and on June 9, 2026, a jury found him guilty of murder.

Anthony was in an area where he was not authorized to be (he entered the school tent during a thunderstorm), and 17-year-old Austin Metcalf asked him to leave. Reports actually stated that he was asked more than a dozen times to leave the tent. Anthony responded by touching his backpack and telling Metcalf, “Touch me and see what happens.” It was reported that Metcalf lightly pushed Anthony, at which point Anthony produced a knife and stabbed Metcalf in the chest.

While the media and Democrats are making Metcalf out to be the aggressor, numerous witnesses testified that it was Anthony who escalated the argument. He has since been sentenced to 35 years in prison, reported the BBC.

Crockett has mocked the size of the knife, as if that has anything to do with the severity of the crime itself. She has dismissed witness testimony, including that of Metcalf’s twin brother, who watched his sibling die in front of him.

She ignored surveillance footage, as well as Anthony telling police:

“I am not alleged; I did it.”

In Crockett’s defense of Anthony, she stated:

"If a 300-pound man is beating me, like on top of me and beating me down, I'm not limited to fists.”

She later added:

"Cuz I'm telling you right now, if you were twice my weight and got way more strength than me and you got me pinned down, I don't believe I'm going to survive.”

Metcalf weighs about 200 pounds, and Anthony weighs about 160 pounds, hardly the mismatched situation she described.

At every turn, she tried to make this about the plight of minorities, more specifically, black Americans, but that was not the case here. This was murder, period, and the jury confirmed it. If the circumstances were reversed, do you think Crockett would be presenting the same argument, or would she be asking for the death penalty? We all know the answer to that question.

The New Direction of the Democrat Party

This is two sitting members of Congress putting criminals, violent criminals, ahead of law enforcement and a law-abiding citizen. And sadly, these are far from isolated cases. This is now a virus that is permeating the Democrat Party.

When high-profile members of the party are asked to comment about this new direction, the new talking point is that the Democrat Party is a “big tent party,” and they want to keep it that way.

Socialist anti-Semitic mayor, Zohran Mamdani… big tent party. A candidate who openly cheated on his wife, has a disgusting profile pic on an app that is primarily used by teens and young adults, and dumps all over heroic veterans… big tent party. Radicals who defend terrorist nations and advocate for criminals over law-abiding citizens… big tent party.

The progressive wing of the Democrat Party is taking over, and the recent success of the Mamdani-backed socialist candidates in the New York primary races proves it. Even more moderate Democrats are so terrified to say anything for fear of being called racists that they just sit back and accept this new “big tent party” narrative.

Ask yourself this: why is leadership not condemning statements made by the likes of Tlaib and Crockett? The silence is deafening, but it does prove that very few in the Democrat Party are actually upholding their oath of office.

Consider this: More Democrats are upset over the reflecting pool having a peeling liner and algae than they are over Tlaib supporting a domestic terror group and Crockett defending a murderer.

What Does the Future Hold?

Sadly, it will be more of the same, and then some.

This new breed of Democrat is normalizing this type of behavior. It’s okay to shoot a cop if you are protesting for the left. It’s okay to murder someone if you are black and the victim is white.

I have said it before, but it must be said again. Democrats thrive on violence, hate, and chaos. This is what they need to win elections. They beat Americans into submission by creating outrage in our communities to the point that most Americans vote for them in the hopes that the protesting and violence in the streets will stop, overlooking the fact that Democrat rhetoric is what creates this chaos in the first place.

A police officer was shot in the neck, and a member of Congress defended the shooter. A teenager was murdered in cold blood, and a member of Congress defended the killer.

That is the direction of the Democrat Party, and nobody has the spine to stop it.
