I just don’t get why people are so upset about this. People who would never have considered coming to DC will be tuning in to see what the city has to offer. With all of the other events, why is a fight being made out to be such a big deal by the left?

“I’ve always figured that if a bill is actually good for the country, it shouldn't have any trouble passing on its own merits. When you see guys like Rand Paul or Thomas Massie standing their ground and slowing things down, the media loves to call it obstruction. But from where I'm sitting, they are usually just reading the fine print that everyone else is trying to ignore.

“It takes a lot of backbone to stand up to your own party leaders when they're trying to rush a massive bill through before anyone can even read it. I don't see it as blocking progress; I see it as someone finally doing their job and looking out for the taxpayers.”
