Today’s thought was about politicians creating drama for the sole purpose of keeping people alarmed, using the construction of the MMA ring at the White House for the 250th birthday party as an example.

“I remember when a president hosting an event at the White House wasn’t treated like a national crisis. We’ve had concerts, giant festivals, and massive dinners out on that lawn for decades. But the way folks are hyperventilating over some temporary scaffolding for an MMA event, you’d think the sky was falling.
“It feels like they just want to keep everyone in a constant state of panic over things that do not actually matter. It is exhausting to watch them try to whip the country into a frenzy over a temporary sports cage just because of who is sitting in the Oval Office. I just wish they would put half this much energy into fixing the real problems working families are dealing with.”
