It just passed. This is exactly what Trump has been asking for, and he got it. Congress finally delivered it for him. Even the media will have to applaud this one. Read more…
I really wish he were my congressman…
Today’s thought was about our elected officials continuing to make decisions without the actual consideration of how it will impact the average person. They are immune to this, for the most part. Tom R. from Ohio responded:
“Twain was right—our wallets are never safe when Washington is running the show. I fully support taking the fight to Iran, but it feels like our politicians completely forgot about the folks footing the bill back home. Gas and grocery prices are bleeding us dry, and instead of a real plan to ease the squeeze on working families, Congress just gives us more excuses.
“We don’t need another lecture on global markets. We need them to aggressively cut domestic spending, open up our own energy production, and actually focus on bringing prices down. It’s time they start looking out for the American taxpayer for a change.”
I have to say, this was the norm for many of the responses I heard on this subject, and this will put significant pressure on the GOP to get this situation rectified before the midterm elections.
