Thought of the Day

Albert Camus is an interesting character in history, and he has a rather relevant quote about the actions of the government, having stated:

“The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.”

I can think of a dozen different examples where our government took advantage of a crisis to place more control over citizens or introduce measures to invade our privacy. This has taken place on both sides of the aisle. Recent examples would be mass shootings, where Democrats always try to erase our Second Amendment rights.
