Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) has now betrayed Trump not once, but twice, after Trump pardoned him on bribery charges.
Trump was upset when Cuellar announced that he would be running for office again as a Democrat after Trump issued the pardon.
Now, Cuellar is telling the media that the administration is being too aggressive on immigration, and were it not for Operation Epic Fury, Trump would be firing off venom in his direction.
Trump has a weakness for anyone who claims that Biden weaponized the DOJ against them, and that is what Cuellar did when he was faced with bribery charges.
All of a sudden, Cuellar was one of only a handful of Democrats speaking against Biden in the media on immigration, and he parlayed that into the reason why Biden was going after him.
It surely had nothing to do with the hundreds of thousands of dollars he allegedly took from foreign agents to influence foreign policy to their benefit.
Cuellar followed Trump around like a puppy dog, and he eventually got his pardon. And guess what happened after that?
Pardon in hand, Cuellar went back to being a Democrat, filing for re-election in the upcoming midterm cycle, and that did not sit well with Trump.
Trump blasted Cuellar on Truth Social for being disloyal.
Trump stated that he did not think Cuellar would run again, let alone as a Democrat. Trump concluded his post, “Next time, no more Mr. Nice guy!”
First, NYC Mayor Eric Adams, then Rep. Cuellar. Two corrupt officials who played Trump and got off scot-free. Hopefully, Trump has learned his lesson now.
Cuellar is now hitting Trump on immigration, and he is lucky that Trump is focused on Iran and not him.
Cuellar stated, “There were people that didn’t like what Biden did with open borders, but now they don’t like what the president and the Republicans are doing, building border walls, when the numbers have gone down at the border and the aggressiveness of ICE has just turned a lot of people — and certainly the tariffs are a hidden tax on consumers, and not even talking about the big, beautiful bill.”
He had also stated, “The aggressiveness of ICE on people on worksites that are not focusing on criminals, but they’re focusing on worksites where people don’t have criminal records, have lived here for a long time, and they’re focusing on those people. That affects the economy, that raises prices, along with tariffs, which are a hidden tax.”
First, if you cross the border illegally, you are a criminal, period. Second, he is not only hitting Trump on immigration, but Trump’s pride and joy… tariffs. Trump is going to come after Cuellar hard, and it will likely happen soon. Henry, you'd better get ready, because the political equivalent of Operation Epic Fury is headed your way.
