Masih Alinejad, an Iranian-American journalist, has survived assassination plots, kidnapping attempts, and a death sentence from the Iranian regime. Zohran Mamdani has survived… a contested mayoral race.
But guess which one is lecturing us about Operation Epic Fury.
Alinejad just pushed back on Mamdani’s comments, and her response should be an eye-opener for all those liberals protesting in the streets while people who have suffered under this regime are literally dancing in them.
Mamdani clearly has his eyes set on a higher office than the mayor of New York City, as he is making it a point to either get Trump’s attention or comment on Trump’s actions at every opportunity.
On the strike, he pandered to Iranians and ripped our president, stating, "Today's military strikes on Iran – carried out by the United States and Israel – mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war. Americans do not want this. They do not want another war in pursuit of regime change. They want relief from the affordability crisis. They want peace.”
He concluded, "Additionally, I want to speak directly to Iranian New Yorkers: you are part of the fabric of this city – you are our neighbors, small business owners, students, artists, workers, and community leaders. You will be safe here."
What he should have done was go to neighborhoods where Iranians are living in his city because it was like a block party, as they celebrated the death of the Supreme Leader and were hopeful for regime change.
During the recent protests, there are estimates that as many as 30,000 people have been killed by the Iranian government or its proxies.
The Trump administration was compared to the Nazis when a woman tried to drive her vehicle over an immigration agent, and he opened fire on her, killing her. Yet 30,000 unarmed protesters get killed, and they don’t bat an eyelash.
Dr. Amir Parasta, a German-Iranian eye surgeon who prepared a report of the data on the protest deaths, stated, “We are getting closer to reality. But I guess the real figures are still way higher.”
Keep in mind, these numbers are from a single protest. Every day life in Iran is no picnic either, and we have not even started to cover the terror-related deaths that take place every year that are deeply connected to Iran.
Masih Alinejad went nuclear on Mamdani after his ridiculous and uneducated statement, responding, "To you, Zohran Mamdani! You stayed quiet when we have faced massacre, when Islamic Republic assassins were sent here in New York to kill us, stay quiet now! STOP lecturing us Iranians about peace.
“I don’t feel safe in New York listening to someone like you, Mamdani, who sympathizes with the regime that killed more than 30,000 unarmed Iranians in less than 24 hours."
That sound you heard was the virtual slap in the face Mamdani just received from a woman who has survived multiple attempts on her life, likely at the hands of Iranian leadership. There was at least one assassination plot and one kidnapping plot against her that were thwarted.
In my mind, you don’t need a reason to bomb Iran, as the country is clearly a threat to freedom around the world. But Trump had a reason, a good one, and now he is doing what had to be done, damn the political fallout. I will take that over a coward who tries to score political points at the peril of our national security.
