Iran is running out of time. Trump's deadline is looming, and while Iranian officials are talking tough in the media, behind the scenes, they're scrambling for a peaceful solution.

Perhaps that is why, with Trump’s deadline looming for a nuclear deal, reports have surfaced that Iran's Ayatollah has an escape plan in place just in case Trump pulls the trigger on a strike.

While the clock was ticking, Trump sent warships into place with special forces operators, and strike groups to get ready just in case the talks broke down.
Trump stated, “It’s proven to be, over the years, not easy to make a meaningful deal with Iran, and we have to make a meaningful deal. Otherwise bad things happen.”
The Gang of Eight was recently briefed on the situation, and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was clearly panicking. Based on his comments that Trump needed to "sell a strike to the American people," it was evident he believed Trump had already made up his mind.
For months now, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been worried about a possible regime change.
This started when protests erupted over the economic collapse, and the worries have continued with the country on the brink of war with the United States.
Reports have broken that the Supreme Leader plans to flee Iran and head to Moscow with nearly two dozen of his top advisers if the regime should fall.
Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqae put on his tough-guy persona when asked what the country would do if Trump greenlights a strike, stating, "And any state would react to an act of aggression... ferociously, so that's what we would do.”
While Baqae is talking tough, Omani Foreign Minister Bader al-Busaidi is trying to paint a picture of progress, likely hoping that as long as talks are moving forward, Trump will not approve a strike.
US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who played an instrumental role in the Abraham Accords, have been conducting the meetings.
Al-Busaidi had posted to X after the latest round of meetings, stating, “We’ve been exchanging creative and positive ideas in Geneva today, and now both US and Iranian negotiators have adjourned for a break. We’ll resume later today. We hope to make more progress.”
Last week, Trump said he would give Iran roughly “10 days” to meet our key demands, one of which is to guarantee the dismantling of Iran’s nuclear sites. That hourglass has just about run out of sand. Most people would give Trump a pass as long as good-faith negotiations are going on, but if Iran pulls out or insists on its nuclear program staying intact, Trump will have no choice but to pull the trigger.
