I know this may surprise you, but that post is not accurate. An ICE agent did not kill the woman. The suspect, an illegal immigrant, was fleeing agents when he allegedly caused the accident that killed the woman.
Had he not been in this country illegally, which is a crime, he would not have been fleeing agents, and that woman is likely still alive…
Today’s “thought” was inspired by a quote from H.L. Mencken talking about going against the norm and pushing back against the establishment. Our reader comment today is from Dominic V. out of Mississippi, who responded:
“Mencken could have written that yesterday. The ‘superstitions’ of his time are the ‘woke’ narratives of ours. The Left doesn't fear the opposition; they fear the individual. That is why they come down so hard on minorities who leave the plantation.
“The moment a person stops voting based on their skin color and starts voting based on their wallet and their values, the Democrats lose their grip. A free thinker is a threat to any system that relies on dependency to survive. Being ‘dangerous’ to that kind of government is a badge of honor.”
I agree, Dominic, but sadly, the Democrat Party has half this country convinced that a middle ground is no longer a good thing.
