Earlier this week, an Obama interview just about broke the internet.
The former president had stated that aliens were real, even though he had never seen them.
Well, Obama just realized that when a former president says something like that, the conspiracy theorists latch onto it and go nuts, so now he is trying to walk it back.
The conspiracy theories about aliens have been around for as long as I can remember, but in recent years, this has exploded.
When you have Naval aviators saying they were followed by or spotted vessels that they could not identify and disappeared faster than any plane we have, it starts to get people curious.
Then, in 2023, Congress held hearings that really supercharged the idea that we are not alone.
Several military officials had testified that non-human “biologics” had been recovered from alleged crash sites, and the theories started to fly.
Obama did not hold back during a recent podcast interview, giving everyone all they needed to run wild.
He stated, “They’re real, but I haven’t seen them.”
Obama continued, “There’s no underground facility, unless there’s this enormous conspiracy, and they hid it from the president of the United States.”
What I found rather interesting is that while conspiracy theorists have always been mocked over this, all we heard after Obama said it was crickets… not a word.
Obama decided to clear up his mess after it went viral on social media. Again, the moment those words came out of his mouth, he might as well have said that the magic bullet theory was made up (which I think it was).
Obama clarified on his Instagram account, explaining, “I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it’s gotten attention let me clarify. Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there’s life out there.”
He continued, “But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we’ve been visited by aliens is low [sic], and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!”
The cat is out of the bag, sir, and as happens in most cases, this retraction will mean nothing compared to the juice that initial comment created.
