Democrats have been attacking ICE since Donald Trump took office.
The deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, in my opinion, gave Democrats the events they needed to put the call to end ICE into overdrive.
Well, there was just another alleged attack against agents that led to another shooting, so dig in for the outrage.
The first shooting death by agents was that of Renee Good.
Now, in my opinion, the force was justified, as the camera footage clearly shows her advancing and hitting the agent.
I believe Good was there because of the rhetoric by Democrats and the belief that protesters could do whatever they wanted and they would not be held accountable.
I also believe that Democrats were willing to sacrifice their liberal supporters in this exact scenario. I am repeatedly on record saying that Democrats wanted something tragic to give them more ammunition, and this shooting gave them what they needed.
The Pretti shooting was a whole different ball of wax, and I broke this down in a previous report. The short analysis here is that I believe the agent(s) who fired saw the gun being removed from Pretti’s holster and believed he was drawing on agents, not realizing it was one of their own who had disarmed Pretti.
The officers thought their lives were in danger, and they opened fire.
Again, this was a horrific tragedy, but it was not the execution that Democrats are making it out to be. And we can always go back to the fact that this never happens if liberals were not emboldened to think they could act without consequence.
They have literally been encouraged by Democrats up and down the food chain to get in the face of immigration officers, and this was even after the death of Good.
During recent hearings (as well as it being all over social media), Democrats have more or less given the green light to go after agents, justifying it by saying that if masked men are coming after you, you have every right to defend yourself (Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) made that argument during a recent hearing).
While carrying out an operation in Roxbury Township in New Jersey, ICE agents claim that Jesus Fabian Lopez-Banegas resisted arrest and rammed one of their vehicles in an effort to escape. The agent did not shoot to kill. Instead, the agent fired at the vehicle to disable it.
DHS explained, "Following his training, the officer defensively used his firearm and shot out the tires of the vehicle to stop the threat. Thankfully, no one was injured. Officers arrested Banegas and took him into ICE custody."
I am now curious to see how Democrats react to this. Will they applaud the agent for shooting at the tires to disable the car instead of shooting at the suspect (and he would have been justified in this case), or will they again go for the kill here?
