Every day, it seems as though there is another election fraud story of some sort, claiming that thousands of votes were stolen from Trump.
Trump eats these reports for breakfast every day and snacks on them in the middle of the night, so I get why he is still chasing the outcome of the 2020 election.
So much so, the FBI recently conducted a raid of Georgia election offices, but what really got everyone’s attention is that DNI Tulsi Gabbard was on the ground during the raid.
The DOJ has been trying to get its hands on Georgia’s election records, but it keeps running into legal challenges.
I have speculated that Trump grew frustrated and gave FBI Director Kash Patel the green light to conduct a raid to get those records.
Last week, the FBI conducted a raid at the Fulton County Election Hub.
Fulton County Commissioner Mo Ivory cried from the high heavens, stating, "This is an assault on your vote. We are all trying to figure out what to do about this.”
After the raid was reported, it was also reported that Gabbard had boots on the ground during the raid.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) questioned why she would be there for such an operation, then called on her to testify on the Hill.
He stated, “Let’s be clear: It is inappropriate for a sitting president to personally involve himself in a criminal investigation tied to an election he lost.”
Gasoline was poured on this fire by Trump, who called for Republicans to nationalize elections, with Warner responding, “That statement alone makes clear that this threat to our election security, the basic premise of our democracy, is forward looking to 2026 into 2028.”
This week, Gabbard cleared up why she was at the raid, stating, “My presence was requested by the President and executed under my broad statutory authority to coordinate, integrate, and analyze intelligence related to election security, including counterintelligence (CI), foreign and other malign influence and cybersecurity.”
She later added, “While visiting the FBI Field Office in Atlanta, I thanked the FBI agents for their professionalism and great work, and facilitated a brief phone call for the President to thank the agents personally for their work. He did not ask any questions, nor did he or I issue any directives.”
I honestly don’t have a problem with any of this, especially if they truly believe the election was compromised, as it would fall under her purview.
Having said that, I have never believed there were enough votes to flip the election in Trump’s favor, but my regular readers also know I have zero tolerance for fraud. Dems seem to be okay with a minimal amount of fraud in the election, but in this day and age, I simply do not understand how we cannot lock these elections down and ensure that every vote cast is legitimate. After 250 years, you would think we would be able to figure this out.
