Trump laid down the law. With Republicans bickering among themselves, someone had to be the adult in the room. The order has been given, and as far as Trump is concerned, it’s over. Read more…
This is a really interesting subject because I completely understand both sides of the argument. As a consumer, I don’t want to be forced to pay nearly 30% in interest charges if I cannot pay off the full balance. Looking at it from the credit card company’s perspective, you have to offset the cost of rewards and defaults.
But here is a really crazy idea… how about people live within their means and stop racking up debt they cannot pay? For me, that high interest rate is a deterrent to spending more than I can afford while enjoying the benefits of paying with a credit card.
Today, we had a quote from Justice Clarence Thomas, as well as discussing the conservative belief of protecting individual rights, while Democrats seem more focused on mob mentality. Our comment today comes from Nathaniel S. out of Virginia, who responded:
“Justice Thomas is the gold standard for a reason. He understands that the moment you prioritize the ‘group’ over the ‘individual,’ you have abandoned the American experiment. The Left is obsessed with slicing us up into little tribes based on race, gender, or whatever category is trendy this week.
“They do it because it’s easier to control a resentful mob than it is to debate a free-thinking individual. If you treat people like victims of their group identity, they will act like it. If you treat them like free individuals with God-given rights, they will rise to the occasion. We need to stop looking at each other as members of a demographic and start seeing each other as neighbors again.”
