Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) blaming Donald Trump for the alleged attack that took place during her recent town hall was as predictable as the sun rising in the east.
Omar has been trading shots with Trump for years, yet most of the media only concentrate on what Trump says about her.
In reality, Omar has hit Trump just as hard, but I don’t hear anyone in the media holding her accountable for the attacks against Trump or the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
I think we can all agree that there is no love lost between Donald Trump and Ilhan Omar.
Trump has made the case that she should be removed from office, with more colorful remarks as of late, and she has called him all the “ist” names in the book.
For instance, after a Trump rally during the 2020 cycle, where the crowd started to chant to have Omar removed from the country, Omar responded, “We have said this president is racist, we have condemned his racist remarks. I believe he is fascist.”
She can say those things, however, because she is a Democrat, and the media will not blink an eye. Meanwhile, Trump got torched for allowing the “Send her back” chant to go on for a few seconds before he started to talk, cutting the chant off.
Now, I just showed you that Omar’s attacks against Trump go back to at least 2019, yet, when the assassination attempts took place against Trump, I don’t recall the New York Times running a piece focusing on the years of attacks she had made against Trump.
Yet, someone sprays Omar with some apple cider vinegar, and the Times runs a story with that exact narrative against Trump.
Not only that, another Democrat who has called Trump every name in the book, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), blamed Trump, stating, “It is not a coincidence that after days of President Trump and VP Vance putting Rep. Omar in their crosshairs with slanderous public attacks, she gets assaulted at her town hall.”
She continued, “Thank God she is okay. If they want leaders to take down the temp, they need to look in the mirror.”
Now, I have heard Omar and her fellow Squad members talk about Trump far more than I have heard Trump talk about them, but according to Omar, Trump is “obsessed” with her and to blame for this alleged attack against her.
She stated, “The man that attacked me was specifically upset that Trump’s order to deport Somalis was not yielding enough deportations of Somalis.” She then added, “He wanted to come get the person he thought was protecting the Somalis.”
Omar then went for the jugular, stating, “I wouldn’t be where I am at today — having to pay for security, having the government to think about providing me security — if Donald Trump wasn’t in office and if he wasn’t so obsessed with me. It is ironic that just last night, [Trump] was on stage, moments before I was attacked, talking about me. Then when asked about my attack, he said, ‘I don’t think about her.’ Does he not remember? Is he suffering from dementia?”
It’s all theater, my friends, every last bit of it. Omar gets to throw around insults and allegations without repercussion, including God only knows how many anti-Semitic and anti-American comments she has made during her career. But the bad orange man is to blame for all things wrong in her life.
