This entire report is a lesson in how Democrats talk out of both sides of their mouths.
This week, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was allegedly “attacked” when a man used a syringe to spray her with a liquid, which was later identified as apple cider vinegar.
Omar has used this as an opportunity to blame Trump’s “hateful rhetoric” as the reason she is being attacked, as well as demanding that Kristi Noem be removed as the head of DHS.
How many negative and hateful things has Ilhan Omar said about Trump? She has called him every “ist” and “ic” name in the book, has likened the administration to Nazis, and just about every other venomous comment you can imagine.
There was an assassination attempt against Trump, and Charlie Kirk was murdered, but Omar and her crew take zero responsibility for that.
Yet she got on her soapbox after the alleged attack during her town hall, stating, "Blame is very interesting, but facts are more important, and what the facts have shown since I've gotten into elected office is that every time the president of the United States has chosen to use hateful rhetoric to talk about me and the community that I represent, my death threats skyrocket.”
Trump added even more fuel to the fire when he suggested that Omar set the whole thing up (and if I am being honest, I have asked that very same question).
This entire attack seems almost too convenient to me, especially when you look at the video and how the attack occurred. I am not accusing her of setting this up, but I don’t believe it was authentic.
That attack, however, has not given Omar a national pulpit, and guess how she is using it? If you guessed to call for Nome’s impeachment and the abolishment of ICE, you win the prize.
She stated, "Voting no on the funding bill is the bare minimum. Backing the resolution to impeach Kristi Noem is the bare minimum. Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum. We must abolish ICE. This moment demands it."
And, of course, the media and liberal horde ate it up.
Trump has stood firm on the calls to have Noem removed, and the louder Dems cry about it, the deeper Trump will dig in.
Trump was asked if he plans on replacing Noem, and he quickly stated, “No.” Trump further claimed that he believes that Noem is doing “a very good job” when it comes to locking down the border.
Trump further updated the investigation into the shooting, stating, "I want to see the investigation. I’m going to be watching over it, and I want a very honorable and honest investigation. I have to see it myself.”
Democrats should know by now that the moment you pressure Trump to do something, he goes in the opposite direction. I honestly think he was going to replace her initially when he decided to send Homan in to clean up this mess, but the moment Dems demanded she be removed, they gave her job security.
