Dems trying to block ICE funding in upcoming legislation

It may sound harsh, but I believe Dems got exactly what they wanted when Renee Good was shot and killed.

They needed a sacrificial lamb to push their anti-ICE agenda, and they got it. Yet, rather than dialing it down, they are pushing even harder, creating even more outrage.

Now, Vice President Vance is trying to calm the waters.

Defunding Ice

Democrats are in all-out attack mode against ICE right now, hoping to eliminate the agency once and for all.

They don’t want the borders manned, and they surely don’t want illegals removed, so now they are going to try to block any funding vote that involves ICE funding.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) stated, “Democrats cannot vote for a [Department of Homeland Security] budget that doesn’t restrain the growing lawlessness of this agency.”

The agency has not broken any laws, but it is being terrorized for upholding them. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, and after a Biden presidency, that is truly saying something.

Businesses paying the price

Not only are private citizens being sacrificed, but so are businesses in Minnesota.

Local business owners have described it as being the pandemic all over again, as people are afraid to leave their homes due to the massive numbers of protests, many of which are turning violent.

Adam Duininck, CEO of the Minneapolis Downtown Council, stated, “January is already a slow time in the restaurant world, but we’re seeing even bigger slowdowns than normal. It’s been reported that a number of restaurants are seeing half of the revenue they normally would see in a January weekday or weeknight.”

I truly wish I could have empathy for these people, but this is what you get when you vote people into office who turn your state into a sanctuary for illegal immigrants, then allow fraud to run rampant within that community.

Time to calm down

Vice President JD Vance traveled to Minnesota this week, hoping to calm the waters a bit and stop the madness.

From Minnesota, he stated, “This is a beautiful city. I’ve only been here a few times, but I love it. Even in this weather, I love Minneapolis. We could do a lot better. We could do a lot more with more cooperation. …The directive that I got, the president of the United States is meet these guys halfway.”

He continued, “So that we can make these immigration enforcement operations successful without endangering our ICE officers, and so that we can turn down the chaos a little bit, at least I think a lot, actually. But for us to do that, we need some help from the state and local officials.”

That sounds reasonable, but the one thing Democrats are not these days is reasonable. They are “an all-or-nothing” party right now. They are unwilling to allow the GOP the ability to get a whiff of victory. So, Mr. Vance, my guess is that you might as well have been talking to a wall because Walz and company have no desire to meet anyone in the middle on this issue.
