The fight against ICE is now spreading, or should I say, the overly aggressive fight against ICE is spreading.
With a massive uptick in violence against ICE agents, a Democrat attorney general is now ramping up the rhetoric even more.
Arizona AG Kris Mayes is recommending that residents start to pull on ICE agents, using self-defense laws to shoot the agents.
One of the biggest attacks we are seeing from politicians regarding ICE is that the agents are wearing masks while carrying out their duties.
They would have you believe that the agents are ashamed of their duties, so they are hiding their faces, but this is a very common tactic for special forces operators and undercover agents to protect their identities, so they are not getting attacked in their personal lives.
It is also a way for them to protect their families from attacks. But Democrats want to unmask them, which has drawn criticism from Jimmy Valenzuela, special agent in charge at the ICE Office of Professional Responsibility.
He explained, “It is a deliberate act of intimidation that undermines the safety and security of ICE employees who are dedicated to upholding the law and protecting our nation.”
Earlier this month, a report was published by DHS that now claims vehicular attacks are up an “unprecedented” 3,200% against ICE agents. There has also been a 1,300% increase in assaults and an 8,000% increase in death threats against agents.
DHS stated, "Sanctuary politicians have created an environment that encourages rampant assaults on law enforcement.”
Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin pointed directly at sanctuary city and state politicians who continue to demonize these agents, adding, "This unprecedented increase in violence against law enforcement is a direct result of sanctuary politicians and the media creating an environment that demonizes our law enforcement and encourages rampant assaults against them.”
She continued, “Dangerous criminals — whether they be illegal aliens or U.S. citizens — are assaulting law enforcement and turning their vehicles into weapons to attack law enforcement.”
I have often stated that I believe Democrats are using American citizens as pawns in this game to enable them to disband ICE, but I have not seen anything even remotely close to what Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes just suggested.
She stated, “It’s kind of a recipe for disaster because you have these masked federal officers with very little identification, sometimes no identification, wearing plain clothes and masks.”
Then came the bombshell, as she added, “And we have a Stand Your Ground law that says that if you reasonably believe that your life is in danger and you’re in your house or your car or on your property, that you can defend yourself with lethal force.”
Yes, these agents often have face coverings on, but they are also wearing vests or other identifiers to let people know they are with Border Patrol or ICE. That matters little to Mayes, however, as she had just laid the groundwork for deadly force to be used against agents. Believe me, her comments were not innocent, as this is yet another effort by Democrats to see bodies stacked up in the street so they can score political points.
