Biological men in women’s sports was clearly one of the hottest topics of the 2024 election cycle, along with immigration.
Trump immediately addressed the situation after taking office, issuing an executive order to ban biological men from women’s sports.
Democrats continue to hold the line on this, including members of the Supreme Court, and that is not sitting well with Trump.
When it comes to biological men competing against women, there are two areas of concern.
The first would be fairness and robbing biological women of the opportunity. The second is safety, as it is only a matter of time before a biological man kills a woman or very seriously injures one in a contact sport if this is permitted to continue.
So, Trump issued an executive order to end this ridiculous experiment, which, in part, stated, “In recent years, many educational institutions and athletic associations have allowed men to compete in women’s sports.”
It continued, “This is demeaning, unfair, and dangerous to women and girls, and denies women and girls the equal opportunity to participate and excel in competitive sports.”
Even though the American people have made it clear they don’t want to see men in women’s sports, Democrats blocked legislation that forced Trump’s hand on the executive order.
For example, a New York Times poll in January found that 79% of Americans were against men in women’s sports, but when legislation was put forward, Senate Democrats blocked it from passing.
Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-CO) claimed it is an “infinitesimally small group of people that are really trying to find their ways.”
Ask the family of the female athlete who suffered a brain injury playing against a biological male if even one male competing in women’s sports is too much. Or what about the family whose daughter loses out on a scholarship?
When the oral arguments were being heard, several of the liberal justices on the bench continued to make the case that biological males who identify as women should be able to compete in women’s sports.
Trump commented, "Big Supreme Court case. I mean, I can't believe it. Some of the justices were fighting hard for men to be able to play in women's sports. A couple of them, I can't imagine it. But I think anybody that rules that way should lose a lot of credibility. But we banned men from playing in women's sports.”
He later added, "All you have to do is look at the records, look at weightlifting records, look at swimming records, look at track and field. This is not fair. It's very demeaning to women."
And it’s not safe, sir. It’s not safe. For an ideology that supports women’s rights, I just cannot comprehend that they are okay with men coming into women’s sports, dominating, and possibly creating a very dangerous situation. I will never be able to put my head around that one.
