Governor Tim Walz has been hitting Trump ever since Kamala Harris picked him to be her vice president on the 2024 ticket.
I would wager that most people outside of that state had never even heard of Walz, but that all changed once he started firing off his attacks.
Now, after massive fraud was exposed, he and Trump have been locked in a feud, one that Walz appears to be offering an olive branch to Trump to end.
I have long stated that the shooting of Renee Good was exactly what Democrats wanted to see happen.
I believe the entire party was getting the American people whipped up in the hopes that such a confrontation would take place, simply so they could go after Trump and ICE.
After the shooting, Walz called it “predictable,” as if his comments likening ICE to a modern-day Gestapo had nothing to do with it.
He held a live-stream event with puppy dog eyes, claiming, "We’ve been warning for weeks that the Trump Administration’s dangerous, sensationalized operations are a threat to our public safety, that someone was going to get hurt. What we’re seeing is the consequences of governance designed to generate fear, headlines and conflict.”
Trump fired right back at Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who has also been mentioned in the fraud scandals in the state, mostly because this falls largely in her district and her Somali community.
Trump accused them both of using these events to deflect attention from the massive fraud that was exposed in the state.
Trump further stated, "ICE is removing some of the most violent criminals in the World from our Country, and bring them back home, where they belong. Why is Minnesota fighting this? Do they really want murderers and drug dealers to be ensconced in their community?”
He continued, “The thugs that are protesting include many highly paid professional agitators and anarchists. Is this really what Minnesota wants?"
Walz is now offering Trump an olive branch, asking him to come to Minnesota, stating, "Mr. President, Minnesota invites you to see our values in action. Come see how communities from all walks of life are working together, and how the spirit of this state refuses to be defined by division of fear."
His statement continued, "I invite you to join me, and others in our community to help restore calm and order and reaffirm that true public safety comes from shared purpose, trust and respect.”
That all sounds great, but it does nothing to address the massive fraud problem that is running rampant in the Somali community within his state. Nor does it address the illegal immigration problem created by the state and city of Minneapolis having sanctuary status.
Contrary to what the media and Democrats are selling, entering the country illegally is a crime. Repeated offenses are felony crimes. And there are very good reasons why we have caps on legal immigration in this country. You don’t get to pick and choose the laws that are enforced.
