One of Trump’s standard insults is calling people “low IQ.” He has done it to black, white, Hispanic, whoever. If he is going after them, that is part of the toolbox. Now, however, because he is saying it about Somalis, they are saying it is a racist comment. Same tired playbook for the left. When in doubt, blame it on race.
Today’s “thought” was about a Nixon quote regarding protests turning violent, and I asked our readers when do we say enough is enough? What line has to be crossed for that to happen? Russell M. from Arizona responded:
“The line isn't blurry; it is crystal clear. The First Amendment protects your voice, not your fists. The moment a ‘protester’ spits on an officer or throws a brick, they stop being an activist and start being a criminal.
“We have allowed the definition of ‘peaceful assembly’ to be stretched until it breaks. If you attack the people we pay to protect us, you shouldn't get a lecture; you should get a pair of handcuffs. Nixon was right: without order, there is no liberty, only anarchy. It is time to stop tolerating the mob.”
