Comer rejects Clinton offer for testimony

The moment the Epstein files became a “thing,” you knew Republicans were going to target Bill Clinton.

To that point, in December 2025, it was announced that the House Oversight Committee wanted Bill and Hillary Clinton to appear for a hearing.

Initially, the Clintons refused, but now Bill is willing to sit down and talk turkey. However, Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is literally laughing off Bill’s counteroffer to testify.

Calling in Bill and Hillary

Comer first announced the possibility of the Clintons being called to testify in late November.

At the time, he stated, "The committee looks forward to confirming their appearance and remains committed to delivering transparency and accountability for the survivors of Epstein’s heinous crimes and for the American people.”

David Kendall, an attorney for the Clintons, responded, stating, "Former President Clinton and former Secretary Clinton welcome legitimate oversight in this matter that is grounded in fact. In that regard, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary Hillary Clinton have little to contribute to that legitimate goal, all of which can be readily submitted on paper."

That started the game of cat and mouse between Comer and the former president.

Thanks, but no thanks

In January, former President Clinton and Hillary informed the committee that they would not be testifying.

They penned a letter to Comer and the committee, stating, “Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough and are ready to fight for this country, its principles and its people, no matter the consequences. For us, now is that time.”

This response was rather ironic considering how the Clintons responded when Trump and his allies were being subpoenaed, and they were refusing to cooperate with congressional committees.

The amusing aspect of this is how the mainstream media is reacting, cheering the Clintons on while blasting Trump and his allies for having done the same thing.

Ridiculous offer

According to Comer, Clinton extended an offer, which included Comer traveling to Bill’s home in New York, no transcript, no recording, and no other members of Congress would be permitted to hear what he had to say. In other words, he could deny anything Comer claimed had come from the conversation.

Comer responded, “I have rejected the Clintons’ ridiculous offer.” He continued, “The Clintons’ latest demands make clear they believe their last name entitles them to special treatment.”

He then added, “The House Oversight Committee’s bipartisan subpoenas require the Clintons to appear for depositions that are under oath and transcribed. Former President Clinton has a documented history of parsing language to evade questions, responded falsely under oath, and was impeached and suspended from the practice of law as a result.”

I am, like many of you, sick and tired of these elitists in the Democrat Party putting themselves above everyone, while at the same time claiming nobody is above the law. The hypocrisy here is thick enough to cut with a dull butter knife. My thoughts… they come in, or they get referred to the DOJ; it’s that simple.
