MS Now guest accuses Trump of racially motivated violence in wake of strike in Nigeria

On Christmas Day, Donald Trump authorized a strike to take out ISIS terrorists in Nigeria.

The strike was coordinated with and approved by the Nigerian government.

The facts matter little to MS NOW, however, as the cable news network allowed a guest to rant about Trump attacking a nation of people of color, stating that the move was racially motivated.

The strike

Trump announced the strike on Christmas Day on his Truth Social account, posting, "Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!"

The president was then subjected to all kinds of attacks for going after terrorists on Christmas Day, even with some suggesting that he did not even inform Nigeria that the strikes were going to take place, which was not true.

The Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, "Nigeria reiterates that all counter-terrorism efforts are guided by the primacy of protecting civilian lives, safeguarding national unity, and upholding the rights and dignity of all citizens, irrespective of faith or ethnicity."

The statement continued, "Terrorist violence in any form whether directed at Christians, Muslims, or other communities remains an affront to Nigeria’s values and to international peace and security.”

WaPo backs strikes

With all of the bogus narratives being circulated about the strike, I was stunned to see the Washington Post actually back the operation.

Its editorial board wrote, "A not insignificant cohort of President Donald Trump’s advisers want the United States to abandon widespread commitments abroad and instead become a regional power focused on the Western Hemisphere.”

It continued, “The president’s righteous strike against Islamic State targets in Nigeria is a reminder that America is capable of much more.”

I was wondering if WaPo backing the strike would have an impact on the bogus narrative, and my question was quickly answered this weekend.

Racially motivated

Morgan State University professor Jason Johnson appeared on MS Now The Weekend on Saturday, and once again used a racism angle to attack Trump.

He stated, "Look, if the president of the United States suddenly decided that he cared about the very same countries that he called ‘s---hole’ countries five years ago — that the president of the United States sat there with a giant chess board with Nicki Minaj and was like, ‘Where should the Barbs go?’ OK, fine. Maybe this all makes sense, but it doesn’t.”

He continued, "We know that this is just another opportunity for this administration to engage in violence in a Brown country in order to flex their power."

Johnson has it all wrong, as this had nothing at all to do with Nigeria and everything to do with ISIS and the killing of Christians in the region. But that does not fit the narrative that liberals love to use against Trump. This is just shameful gaslighting of the American people.
