Sen. Cory Booker calls out DNI Tulsi Gabbard over comments on Muslim immigrants

Over the last year, there has been a lot of attention paid to the saturation of Muslim’s in certain American communities.

Michigan and Minnesota, as we all know, have considerable Muslim populations, with the latter state now under the magnifying glass due to revelations about a massive fraud scheme conducted by Somalis in the area.

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard is now ringing the bell about another community, one in Paterson, New Jersey, and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is not happy about it.

Starts with Texas

In November, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott really put a spotlight on several Muslim groups in his state by declaring that the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) could not own land there.

We have several members of Congress who support these groups, most notably Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), but they are controversial, to say the least, as they have also been linked to terrorist organizations.

To that latter point, Abbott stated, "The Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR have long made their goals clear: to forcibly impose Sharia law and establish Islam’s ‘mastership of the world.’”

He continued, "The actions taken by the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR to support terrorism across the globe and subvert our laws through violence, intimidation, and harassment are unacceptable. Today, I designated the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as foreign terrorist organizations and transnational criminal organizations. These radical extremists are not welcome in our state and are now prohibited from acquiring any real property interest in Texas."

Gabbard targets Patterson, NJ

DNI Gabbard then came out this week to highlight a city in New Jersey that has not been on a lot of people’s radar to this point, but it actually has the second-largest Muslim population outside of Hamtramck, Michigan.

Gabbard made her comments during the Turning Point USA AmericaFest event in Arizona, stating, "Their fundamental ideology is antithetical to the foundation that we find in our constitution.”

She continued, "Paterson, New Jersey, is proud to call themselves the first Muslim city. They are working to implement in their own governments these Islamic principles that are forced on people through the use of laws or violence.”

This immediately got the attention of Booker.

Booker calls out Gabbard

Booker responded to Gabbard’s comments only as Democrats know how, saying that she was putting people’s lives in danger.

He stated, "Paterson is one of New Jersey’s oldest cities and has always embodied the best American values — industry, perseverance, and diversity.”

The lawmaker continued, "Tulsi Gabbard's dangerous attempt to sow fear, pit people against each other, and smear the Muslim Americans of Paterson, NJ is dishonest, cruel, and un-American — it endangers an entire community.”

My feelings on this are well documented, and it sickens me that Democrats are drawing this line solely because the GOP has made it a talking point. They are literally willing to see our country fundamentally changed from within simply because of their hatred of Donald Trump.
