As we all know, a major story that was in the news when Donald Trump and Joe Biden were facing off in the 2020 presidential election involved allegations of corruption within the latter's family.
Eventually, investigations into Hunter Biden took place, with the Democrats' son eventually facing indictment on gun and tax charges.
IRS whistleblowers, however, claim there was far more corruption that was covered up over the years to protect Hunter specifically and the Biden family in general.
In September 2024, Hunter Biden was convicted of three felony tax offenses and six misdemeanor charges.
The DOJ announcement at the time stated, “According to the indictment, Hunter Biden engaged in a four-year scheme in which he chose not to pay at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes he owed for tax years 2016 through 2019 and to evade the assessment of taxes for tax year 2018 when he filed false returns.”
Biden theoretically stood to do a maximum of 17 years in prison, but he was expected to get a far shorter sentence.
The entire time his case was being investigated, Democrats painted the prosecution as a personal attack on the first son, even though the evidence was clear that Hunter Biden had broken the law.
The case came to a conclusion because Hunter decided to plead out rather than risk going to court.
After making his plea, Hunter stated, "When it became clear to me that the same prosecutors were focused not on justice but on dehumanizing me for my actions during my addiction, there was only one path left for me.”
He continued, “I will not subject my family to more pain, more invasions of privacy and needless embarrassment. For all I have put them through over the years, I can spare them this, and so I have decided to plead guilty."
This was gaslighting at its finest. The criminal somehow turns himself into a victim. It was Hutner who decided to do drugs, and it was Hunter who chose to blow his money on prostitutes and booze rather than pay his taxes. Nobody was to blame for this but Hunter himself.
IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler provided a bit more context in terms of how Joe Biden was pressuring the IRS at the time regarding the investigation into his son. For instance, Ziegler stated, “The Biden family lived five miles down from the office or a few miles down from the office. The guest house where Hunter Biden stayed for a while, five miles from the office.”
He added, “Throughout the investigation, we heard about Joe Biden coming into the FBI office. I mean, it was really, really concerning from like, ‘Is this honestly the best place to work this tax investigation?'”
The two of them went on to explain how the Biden family was enriched through the years by various schemes, and they used Joe Biden’s shakedown of Ukraine as an example of how blatantly open they were about it. Shapley stated, “Going back to the video of Vice President Joe Biden in Ukraine saying, if you don’t fire Viktor Shokin by the time I leave, and he looks at his watch, he’s like, you’re not getting the money. This is like a Biden family tradition almost, right? To shake down people to get exactly what you want.”
With Kash Patel now running the FBI, I think this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of finding out just how much influence Biden was truly wielding at the DOJ during his time as president.
