My “thought” today was about how mindset can make a difference in whether you succeed or fail, and I used a Henry Ford quote to back it up. So, today, I selected one of our readers from the Motor City to respond. Dennis M. hails from Michigan, and he stated:
“Henry Ford was a visionary, and this quote is the secret sauce to the American Dream. I've seen it time and again—two people with the exact same skills and opportunities, but the one with the grit and the belief that they can do it is the one who succeeds."
“The other one is defeated before they even start. We live in a culture now that teaches people to be victims and to look for excuses why they can't. If we want to restore this country, we need to get back to the mindset that says we can, regardless of the obstacles.”
Well said, Dennis. And I think we all realize that some ventures are destined to fail due to financial considerations or the like. But what we are talking about here is when the work ethic and commitment are behind the success or failure. Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
