Donald Trump has not only authorized Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to send troops to Oregon, but he has also authorized the use of force as necessary, though the White House has yet to clarify that aspect of the situation. Meanwhile, Oregon’s governor says that the video footage used to justify the actions was taken from previous anti-ICE riots and is not reflective of what is taking place right now. "Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports... And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion."
I don’t think people realize how deeply rooted faith, and even more importantly, morality, are critical to this country's foundation. When we see the moral compass lowered, chaos ensues, and sadly, that is where we find ourselves today.
