Equity… with Kamala Harris popping back up on the scene, equity is the talking point of the hour, but the concept will lead to the demise of this country if Democrats get their way. In a capitalist system, it is self-interest that drives success, as the only way to succeed is to provide good service or a good product at a fair price for consumers. It is a system built on trust and cooperation, not coercion.
Everything in our system is voluntary. A restaurateur cooks the food, but people don’t have to buy it. They patronize the restaurant because they choose to, not because they are threatened or coerced in any way. Our current system rewards hard work, but this new breed of Democrats wants to penalize hard work by imposing standards of “equity.”
