Thought of the Day

Is it time for an independent commission to generate district maps in every state? Texas just introduced new district maps that could eliminate as many as five blue seats in Congress. Several Democrat governors have responded by saying they will do the same in their states to remove red seats. The gerrymandering on both sides has gotten so out of control that perhaps it is time we take this process out of the hands of state legislators and give it to independent commissions that do nothing but evaluate populations and determine the fairest possible district lines in every state. Would you support something like this, or do you think we should allow states to continue gerrymandering district maps?
