At a time when our Constitution is regularly under fire by the left, I have thought of a quote by the legendary Antonin Scalia:

"The Constitution is not a living organism. It is a legal document. It says something and doesn't say other things."

The right tends to treat the Constitution for what it is, a founding document that must be adhered to by the letter.
