The whole 'equity' agenda we heard so much about for years was just a political attempt to guarantee outcomes, and that's not how the real-world works. Milton Friedman had it right: freedom to succeed -- and yes, freedom to fail -- is what actually lifts everyone up. You don't get a strong country by celebrating mediocrity."

Well said, David. I also want to encourage our liberal readers to reply, as we would love to have the debate about our differences. Believe it or not, we are willing to have that conversation to find a middle ground and create a country that works for everyone, not just a select few.
