Today’s thought was about the slow claw back of our rights by suppressing free speech, one small piece at a time. Today’s comment is from George H. out of Nebraska, who responded:
“It used to be that you could disagree with your neighbor or question a politician without anyone trying to silence you. Now, it feels like the second you step out of line with whatever narrative Washington is pushing, they want to shut your voice down or label you a problem.
“I don't care which party is in charge; the government has absolutely no business trying to manage what regular folks are allowed to say or read online. The whole point of this country is being able to speak your mind freely. Once we start letting politicians decide what is acceptable speech, we are going down a road that is mighty hard to come back from.”
