Chief Justice Roberts drops bomb. Justice Roberts does not talk publicly often, but when he does, he sure does know how to poke the bear. One side will not be happy with this announcement, just not sure which side it will be. Read more…
There is only one right answer to this question, and Democrats could not give it…
Today, I published this quote by Alexander Hamilton:
"A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one."
Then I asked our readers what they thought it meant, and I was quite surprised by the diversity of the answers in terms of interpretation. I went to Steel Town for today’s response, choosing Frank D. out of Pittsburgh, PA, who responded:
“We see this playing out every time Congress faces a tough budget fight. The establishment is so terrified of a government shutdown—the ‘danger’ of bad PR and legacy media attacks—that they routinely pass bloated spending bills that fund the very agencies currently weaponized against us. They choose the ‘disgrace’ of submitting to the administrative state just to avoid a messy public fight.
“If our elected representation doesn't have the stomach to take on actual political risk, they are actively paving the way for the bureaucratic masters Hamilton warned about. We need them to force the issue, defund these rogue agencies, and secure a decisive, offensive victory for the American taxpayer, even if it means taking heavy incoming fire from the press. Playing it safe while the constitutional republic is dismantled is exactly how a nation ends up in chains.”
Thanks for the comment, Frank, I look forward to seeing how our readers react to YOUR comment.
