It’s a shame he missed nearly a year in Congress while he was campaigning for the Senate. If he truly wants to make a difference, show up. It is voices like this that we need to be heard if we are going to defeat the ridiculous narrative that Democrats are pushing right now...
Today’s “thought” used a quote from Patrick Henry and touched on the outrage of the CIA over yesterday’s proceedings on the alleged cover-up by the CIA. Our reader comment today comes from Marcus W. from Nebraska, who responded:
“The sheer arrogance of the intelligence agencies complaining that yesterday's hearing was public tells you exactly who they think is in charge. Whistleblower James Erdman just sat before Senator Paul's committee and testified under oath that the bureaucratic masters actively suppressed the truth about the COVID lab leak to protect the establishment's preferred narrative. The intelligence community is perfectly fine with congressional oversight, provided it happens behind closed doors where they can manipulate the findings.
“Patrick Henry was entirely right; when the swamp conceals its actions, our liberty is under direct attack. We cannot simply post our frustrations about their lack of transparency. We need our elected representation to secure a decisive, offensive victory by slashing the funding to these rogue alphabet agencies and ripping their operations out of the shadows. It is time to aggressively purge the unelected managers who believe they answer to no one.”
I agree, Marcus, and I hope the American people paid attention to the nuance of the statement by the CIA. We need more transparency, not less, and I thought the statement from the agency was shameful.
