Democrats caught red-handed. Minnesota showed everyone how bad the fraud was in this country, but I still don’t think most people understand just how widespread it was on the left side of the aisle. This case, however, should open more eyes, as well as why Democrats did not want the administration digging into it. Read more…
I would not go as far as Woods to say that this is unfixable, but it is clearly a problem that will only be fixed if Democrats and liberal organizations halt their war on law enforcement…
Today’s thought was about people who have no skin in the game making all the decisions with our taxpayer dollars. This is based on a quote from Thomas Sowell that I have used before, but as we stare down the barrel of a $39 trillion debt, I wanted to hear everyone’s thought again. Gregory M. of Iowa responded:
“The $39 trillion debt is a monument to the cowardice and incompetence of the federal bureaucracy. When these career bureaucrats in D.C. or state capitals greenlight massive spending packages, they aren't using their own money, so they don't care about the fraud and waste that inevitably follows. We saw it in Minnesota with the millions stolen from food programs, and we see it every day in the halls of Congress. The accountability gap is wide enough to drive a freight train through.
“We cannot keep waiting for these same people to suddenly develop a conscience or a sense of fiscal responsibility. Our elected representation needs to stop playing defense and actually start cutting. We need to see them force a decisive, offensive victory against the spending machine by gutting the budgets of these failing agencies and holding every single person who oversaw this fraud legally and financially accountable. Until there is a real, personal price to pay for being ‘wrong,’ nothing in Washington is going to change.”
I agree. If this were the corporate world, every one of them would have been fired long ago. Yet, voters in this country have put many of these people in office for decades. Holding them accountable starts and ends with the American voter.
