Today’s “thought” was about destroying Iran rather than “feeding” the country in the hopes it will never attack. I used a Winston Churchill quote as the inspiration, and Kevin M. from Nebraska responded:
“Churchill hit the nail on the head. We have watched the appeasement strategy fail in the Middle East for decades. You cannot just hand the Iranian regime pallets of cash, ignore their aggression, and hope they decide to play nice. They are actively funding terror proxies, and sitting around while they develop weapons of mass destruction is a recipe for disaster.
“That being said, while I completely support taking out their military sites and crushing their capabilities, we have to be smart about the long game. My main concern is mission creep. We need to deliver a decisive, offensive blow to their weapons programs, cripple their terror networks, and then get out. No nation-building and no twenty-year occupations. The Left's approach of playing nice with a crocodile is foolish, but we also need to ensure our only objective remains neutralizing the threat and putting American security first, rather than trying to fix their country for them.”
