You want to know why people don’t believe in climate change? Because Democrats have been crying about the end of the world for decades. If they were more reasonable about this, I think people would buy in more, but this approach is clearly not working.
Today’s “thought” centered around the upcoming $39 trillion debt our nation will soon be facing and how we are likely to doom future generations to figure out how to pay for it. Today’s comment comes from Vern D. out of Texas, who stated:
“Coolidge is the only president who truly understood the morality of math. Every time Congress prints another billion dollars for some pet project, they aren't ‘creating value’—they are stealing the value of the labor we have already done. Inflation is just a hidden tax on the working man.
“When they devalue the dollar to service the debt, they are reaching into the pocket of every mechanic, waitress, and farmer in this country. We aren't just leaving our grandkids a bill; we are leaving them a broken currency and a government that thinks it owns the fruit of their labor before they even earn it. It is theft, plain and simple.”
Vern, if you don’t mind, I am going to steal that line of yours, “inflation is just a hidden tax on the working man.” I never really thought of it that way, but now I will never be able to get that out of my mind.
