“This is the fundamental question, and the answer defines your political philosophy. The Founders were clear: the government is a servant with a limited list of duties, and the people are the masters."

“The progressive vision is to flip that relationship. They offer 'free' benefits and cradle-to-grave security, but the price is your independence. You trade your role as master for the role of a well-fed pet. I choose to be a citizen, not a subject.”

I love the analogy to a well-fed pet, as this is dead on as to what this new breed of Democrat has planned for We the People if we do not push back on this socialist movement. Well said, Janet.
