Schumer is missing very important context here… such as the billions of dollars in fraud that have been exposed. So, this brings up a great question. Are you supposed to continue pouring money into these programs while investigating fraud within them, or do you shut them down and reboot?
Today’s thought is inspired by a quote from Theodore Roosevelt, who once stated:
"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better."
“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood..."
So, I don’t necessarily agree with that quote. That is, more or less, stating that since we are not in the political arena ourselves, we have no right to criticize politicians. It would seem to suggest that, as fans, we should keep our mouths shut about the quality of play on the field that we financially support. Or am I being too harsh on Teddy? Click here to respond.
